
John also serves as a Community Bank Specialist for clients in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Missouri, Texas, and Massachusetts.

As a top producer at SWS, John also served on the leadership board from 2008 to 2012. He joined BNK Advisory Group (an independent brokerage firm) in 1996 as a registered securities representative. He was promoted to Senior Bank Analyst in 1998 until June 2007 covering the same territory and client base as mentioned earlier.
John retains the following registrations: investment advisor representative (Series 66), general securities principal (Series 24), municipal securities principal (series 53), to go along with the Series 7, & Series 63 registrations.

Prior to joining BNK, John started his career with The Guardian in 1993 as a business associate involved in the variable annuity product line. He became a group insurance underwriter in 1995, underwriting medical and life insurance policies for large corporations.
John has a wide range of experience involving economic analysis, understanding community bank's balance sheets, investment portfolio analyses, asset liability modeling, trading of fixed-income and equity securities, portfolio accounting, and market pricing. He has become an invaluable asset to his clients on both the broker-dealer and investment advisory arenas.

John has a bachelor of science degree in finance and a master's in business administration from East Carolina University.
In his spare time John enjoys volunteering at his church. A few of John's favorite pastimes he enjoys with his family is hiking and going to the beach.
